Doing things differently...

Given my endeavour of starting a Luxury Clothing brand in a non-traditional way by selling on-line and at trunk-shows, I am currently really inspired by others who are challenging the status quo and doing things differently. Last night I was lucky enough to go along to the Official Launch of the Business behind the Greenhouse and the man - By Joost (that's pronounced Yoast/rhymes with toast:-). The concept brings together sustainability in both food and architecture, and last night's event was in an amazing temporary structure in Melbourne's Queensbridge Square built from an assortment of natural and/or recycled materials. Every detail was thought about - wooden replica garbage bins, old drums growing herbs, toilets collecting urine (no that's not it in the glass jars that's a gorgeous pinot gris!) to turn into urea for fertiliser, down to the myriad of shapes and sizes of glass jars used to serve cocktails, beer, wine, and food!

It was a stunning night in a divine setting showcasing some of Melbourne's best views of the city and the Yarra River. Retro 70's music, delicious fresh food, great wine and fun people... Well done! Check out more at the site - link below telling you more about the Greenhouse concept.
